Telegraph key

DImensions: 4 x 12,5 x 5,5 cm Location: England Material: bakelite,metal

British-made military-type wireless telegraph key. It was characterised by its small size and a large Bakelite handle in order to ensure serviceability and speed to the controller. It was made during the World War II. It was probably the key of Fullerphone company's complete MK-V telegraph system and was used for wireless communication in the battlefield. This specific design of telegraph system used direct current to create telegraphic signals, making it almost impossible for the enemy to intercept or decode them. This design provided better safety than the respective ally devices. The key was widely used by all armed groups of the British armed forces.
