Black magneto Bakelite desk phone in a metal casing, seated on a black metal base. It is equipped with a black Bakelite handset mounted on a black cradle ("fork" design) and connected to the device and the connection with two separate black woven cords. It was an important telephone device in terms of technology and manufacture. A well-built Bakelite device with strong magnets and loud impedance ringers. It required an external battery box and was intended for use between the railway stations. Ericsson aimed to meet the stringent rules on intertelecommunication safety laid down by the Swedish Railways.
