TANDY-branded portable computer. The popular computer color of the era, beige, was chosen for the Tandy Model 200. It featured a folding display and weighed approximately 1.5 kilograms. The screen was a liquid crystal display (LCD) with adjustable contrast and a non-glare coating, capable of displaying 40 columns of text. Graphics could also be displayed on a 240 × 128 pixel screen.

On the rear panel, there were ports for connecting the computer to a printer, cassette recorder, telephone, and an RS-232C interface.

The keyboard of the Tandy Model 200 included four cursor keys for navigating the screen. A mouse was not yet available. Power could be supplied either through an AC adapter or by four AA batteries. When using alkaline batteries, the computer could operate for approximately 10 to 16 hours. This particular computer was especially popular as a word processor because of the software stored in its ROM memory.

The price of the Model 200 was just under $1,000.
