]]> Swiss-made early wired telegraph key dated between 1860-1870. It has a wooden base with bronze support and parts. The support handle is made from Bakelite although original design provided for wooden or bone handle. It was manufactured by Gustav Hasler company, in Switzerland. This design was used by post services and railways. Variations of the model are the silent keys with leaf spring contacts.
