Telegraph key

DImensions: 13 x 12 x 12 cm Location: Germany Material: bakelite,metal

German-made wireless military telegraph key, probably belonging to a World War II aircraft. During WW II, many German companies manufactured such telegraph keys which were widely used by the German armed forces, at that time. Its frame was made from plastic often sporting slots in order to be mounted on an aircraft wall. It was used equally by Wehrmacht (land forces) and Luftwaffe (air forces), and most of the later models of Nazi Germany's military keys constituted improved versions or upgrades of type T1.
