Telegram of thanks which was sent by Greek Prime Minister Stefanos Stefanopoulos in reply to a congratulatory telegram by William Rees for his designation as prime minister. Stefanos Stefanopoulos was the Prime Minister of Greece from September 17th 1965 until December 22nd 1966. His government is considered one of the governments of the historic period of Apostasia, which were formed during 1965 following an intervention by king Constantine in political affairs and the Georgiosʼ Papandreou abdication from premiership.
