Black automatic Bakelite wall phone equipped with a handset connected to the device with a black woven cord. It features a metal rotary dial with a white inner ring sporting the letters A-K in Greek, testifying to the use of the device in Greece. The type W28 refers to the year of importation of the device, in 1928. This device, both the wall and desk versions, marked the first Siemens industrialised production of telephone in Bakelite casing and set out the basis for future Siemens and other companies' models, such as W38 and W48. However, the wall version was quite limited and, therefore, nowadays is hard to find in Greece.
