Teletype Corporation teletype
Black metal teletype on wooden base. In the front, it is fitted with a support for the text being typed, control switches of the device and (Latin) keyboard with metal keys in a plastic cover. The teletype 15-KSR of Teletype Corporation was used by the political and military services (military models: TG-7-A, TG-7-B). It remained in production during the period between 1930-1954 and overall more than 200.000 pieces were manufatured. The keyboard had three rows of keys with springs and its operating system used the 5bit Baudot Code with the speed at 60 words per minute. It had three different kinds of safety mechanisms, line and/or keyboard lock, separate alert system, automatic return and feed, tables system and paper feeder with a cogwheel mechanism.
