Black automatic Bakelite wall phone fitted with a metal (steel) base and a Bakelite handset with a black braided cord. It sports a metal rotary dial with a black numeral inner ring, featuring white numbers. The device is marked with the wording "ROYAL TATOI". There is also a desk version of the telephone. The type was also called CE 51 in accordance to an ITT classification system. This all Bakelite telephone evolved from a previous Art Deco telephone through a number of stages. After the war, mostly the Netherlands, made a lot of special orders of the specific model - especially the Dutch civil defense organisation and the Dutch Railways - thus raising the interest of collectors (see also ΜΤ-015116).
